Latest Candoo Tech Impact Survey Shows Significant Increase in Tech Confidence & Use in Healthcare Among Older Adults
The results of the latest Candoo Tech impact survey of older adults shows a significant increase in confidence after getting support from Candoo Tech and higher levels of using technology and particularly to access healthcare.
56% of respondents were over 80 years old. The majority had laptops and desktops, almost 60% had a smart phone and 22% had a tablet.
70% of Candoo clients felt more confident after a Candoo Tech session, that’s a 19% increase since February, 2025. 27% felt more confident specifically accessing healthcare benefits online. While that number is still relatively low, it’s a 153% increase in the last six months.
Healthcare is increasingly more dependent on technology and older adults are often left behind as they try to navigate digital health. Survey results show a significant increase in using technology to access health plans, order prescription drugs and schedule medical appointments.
There was also almost a 50% increase in use of wearable devices and tracking health and fitness and over 50% increase in accessing mental health and therapy sessions online.
Avoiding scams and staying safe online is a growing priority, especially among older adults. 31% of Candoo clients were helped identifying a scam or staying safe online. Other top requests included using email and text messages, learning a new skill or hobby, participating in an online program and learning how to use online shopping, transportation and more.
Survey results show that, with the proper training and support, older adults, no matter how old or how little they have previously been exposed to technology, are embracing technology and using it in their every day lives to stay healthier and more engaged and connected.
